Phillip Moore was born and raised in Barrie, Ontario. He graduated from Eastview Secondary School and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario. After University graduation, Moore, seeking broader horizons and life experiences, moved to Hong Kong for several years. With that international seasoning behind him, he returned to Canada and began establishing professional credentials in the real estate realm, specifically as the Property Manager for PBM Realty Holdings, Inc. This position served as excellent training for when Moore eventually took the reins as PBM’s Operations Manager.

In January of 2014, Moore saw the right opportunity and decided to seize the day with the launching of Carpe Diem Asset & Property Management Incorporated. He continues to build Carpe Diem’s foundations while working on his Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) designation and holding Broker duties with Cushman & Wakefield Ltd., Brokerage. Once the CCIM designation is established, Moore will then begin working on his Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation. If experience is the best teacher, Moore has a hefty amount of tutorials to draw lessons from. To date, he’s personally handled over $3-million in Project Management; works closely with the Economic Development Office for the City of Barrie; is a member of the Committee of Adjustments for the City of Barrie; and, relying on first-hand knowledge of the Far East, acted as the City of Barrie’s Real Estate expert in a trade delegation that journeyed to Taizhou, China in 2012. It’s an impressive and growing curriculum vitae but for Moore, success has always been measured beyond personal gain. He’s keenly aware of the importance of community and has over the years devoted time, money and energy to organizations such as Barrie’s Christmas Cheer, the City of Barrie Library, and to raising funds and books for a mission in Africa.

When the professional game is on, between the lines, Moore says he enjoys “challenging and complex deals where I have to find creative ways to succeed.” Away from the demands of a busy real estate career, he enjoys the adventure of travelling abroad, hitting the local ski slopes, and boating on Lake Simcoe.
